What exactly is breathwork?

Breathwork is an active meditation that gets you out of your mind and into your body. When you silence the chatter in your mind and connect to your physical being, you allow access to your innate wisdom to heal.

There are many different ways to incorporate breath into your life. Pause Breathwork applies the deepest and most sustainable techniques: integrative and meditative breathwork which allows for healing, release, and transformation.

As you go through life, sometimes experiences and emotions get trapped inside, keeping your energy stuck at that moment in time, unable to flow. This can cause a buildup of toxic energy that can take a toll on your emotional and physical well-being.

When you set an intention combined with the breath, you create a non-ordinary state of consciousness that quiets the noise, connects you to your inner compass, heals the hurt, and restores your relationship with life. You are able to release the blocked energy so it can flow freely through your body. That movement helps you reach heightened levels of relaxation and live from a space of complete alignment as your most authentic self.

Breathwork is one of the best resources because it is so effective in supporting your desired outcome. No matter if you choose integrative or meditative breathwork, you will feel more relaxed, more confident, and more at peace; it is like nothing you have ever experienced. By integrating this work into daily practices, you will start living the life you have always imagined.

Two different forms of breathwork

Integrative Breathwork

Integrative breathwork, or breathwork for relaxation, is a practice that can be used in your everyday life while performing daily activities. It allows you to slow down, pause, and be fully in the present moment. The intention of integrative breathwork is for instant relaxation and mental clarity.

Meditative Breathwork

Meditative breathwork sessions are for deep healing and transformation. Meditative practices allow you to clear the energetic blockages in your nervous system or clean the gunk out of the plumbing as I like to think of it. Using specific breath patterns, you get out of mind and connect with your physical body, deepening your relationship with yourself, release emotions, promote mental clarity, and so much more.
